Title:
TRASH REMOVER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5620216
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To protect a rake against breaking due to the bite-in of scum by a method wherein a rake arm fitted on a carriage reciprocating along an elliptical orbit swings in accordance with the load condition, in a trash remover for a bar screen.

CONSTITUTION: A motor (not shown) is driven and a chain 8 is rotationally run to move a carriage 14 downwards. When the carriage 14 moves downwards and the sedimented and 26 contacts the tip end of a rake 21 to apply a load to the latter, link mechanisms 17 and 18 are brought into contact with an upper stopper 23, with their fitting portions as fulcrums, so that the rake 21 evades the sedimented sand 26 without being broken. Then, when the carriage 14 is moved upwards, the link mechanisms 17 and 18 rotate clockwise due to the weight of a rake arm 19 and the like, the rake arm 19 moves toward a bar screen 1 and the rake rakes up the scum 20. The carriage 14 rotates along an elliptic orbit to repeat these actions.
