Abstract:
To provide a travelling control device and a travelling control method capable of executing follow-up traveling control by an easier calculation.SOLUTION: A travelling control device CTS includes: a radar device 1-1, an imaging device 1-2, and a preceding vehicle processing unit 22 as an example of a measuring unit for measuring a direction of a preceding vehicle, which precedes a user's vehicle, with respect to the user's vehicle as a preceding vehicle direction; a travelling direction processing unit 23 for acquiring a new travelling direction of the user's vehicle between the preceding vehicle direction measured by the measuring unit and the travelling direction of the user's vehicle; and a follow-up control unit 24 for controlling the travelling of the user's vehicle so as to follow the preceding vehicle along the new travelling direction of the user's vehicle acquired by the travelling direction processing unit 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
