This travel control device has a travel driving means for respectively driving front, rear, right and left wheels of a moving body traveling on a travel rail, a torque detecting means for detecting torque for respectively driving the front, rear, right and left wheels, a speed detecting means for detecting a travel speed of the moving body, and a travel control means for controlling a speed of the moving body by driving the respective travel driving means based on the travel speed detected by the speed detecting means. The travel control means increases the torque distribution of the rear wheels more than the front wheels when the moving body moves for acceleration.
