To provide a travel controlling device for a vehicle which shifts a longitudinal direction control to a driver by a cancel of an inter-vehicle control type constant-speed traveling system, and shifts a lateral direction control to the driver with time allowance, when the driver operates a cancel switch of the inter-vehicle control type constant-speed travelling system while both of an inter-vehicle control type constant-speed traveling system and a lane keep system are actuated.
This travel controlling device for a vehicle comprises: an inter-vehicle type constant-speed traveling system actuated by an ON operation of an inter-vehicle control starting switch; and a lane keep system actuated by an ON operation of a lateral displacement control starting switch. A system actuation total control means for actuating the lane keep system only when the inter-vehicle control type constant-speed traveling system is operated, cancels the lane keep system a predetermined time after cancelling the inter-vehicle control type constant-speed traveling system when the driver operates the cancel switch of the inter-vehicle control type constant-speed travel system while both of the inter-vehicle control type constant-speed traveling system and the lane keep system are actuated.
