To provide a travel device which can travel in piping even if a part whose internal diameter is narrowed by deposits and adhesive materials existing in the piping.
A travel device includes: a first traveling mechanism 5 which is configured so as to be travelable in piping; a second traveling mechanism 7 which is arranged at a position opposite to the first traveling mechanism 5 in the piping and configured so as to be travelable in the piping; an elastically expandable/contractible first linear motion mechanism 9 which connects one end thereof to the front part of the first traveling mechanism 5 and connects the other end thereof to the back part of the second traveling mechanism 7; and an elastically expandable/contractible second linear motion mechanism 11 which connects one end thereof to the back part of the first traveling mechanism 5 and connects the other end thereof to the front part of the second traveling mechanism 7.
