Abstract:
PURPOSE: To properly give an intersection guidance in voice from the right side for right turning or from the left side for left turning by the travel position display device which gives the intersection guidance in voice in front of an intersection.
CONSTITUTION: The angle θ of inflection at an intersection node 25 is found from the prolongation from a line 2 to a 1 ink 3 on a path 21 selected by a path search and it is selected whether or not there is a voice guidance according to the angle θ of inflection; and a right/left turning judgement is made, and the intersection guidance is given in voice from the right side for right turning or from the left side for left turning.
