Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce a change of the traveling motion of a vehicle resulting from a crosswind without causing an unnecessary change of a vehicle speed and an increase of energy consumption.SOLUTION: A crosswind is detected by a crosswind detection device 36, a magnitude of a target control amount of a wheel lateral force variable device 18 for generating the control yaw moment which withstands the yaw moment of the vehicle resulting from a crosswind by the control of a lateral force of a wheel is calculated, an aerodynamic center distance being a distance between the center of gravity of the wheel and an aerodynamic center is estimated on the basis of the detected crosswind, an aerodynamic center ratio being a ratio of the aerodynamic center distance with respect to a wheel base of vehicle is calculated, it is determined whether the lateral force of the wheel should be increased or decreased on the basis of the aerodynamic center ratio, and the wheel lateral force variable device is controlled on the basis of a determination result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
