Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set release timing of vehicle-to-vehicle distance control to decrease the frequency of burdensome driving restart operations for a driver in a follow-up control for a foregoing vehicle.
SOLUTION: A vehicle speed command value V* is calculated by an inter- vehicle distance control part based on inter-vehicle distance L detected by a vehicle-to-vehicle distance sensor and one's own vehicle speed Vs detected by a speed sensor. A drive shaft torque command value TW* is calculated by a vehicle speed control part based on the vehicle speed command value. A braking fluid pressure command value PB* and a throttle opening command value θ*is calculated by a drive shaft torque control part based on the drive shaft torque command value. A condition of the release of vehicle-to-vehicle distance control is set in the inter-vehicle distance control part when the one's own vehicle speed Vs is a control released vehicle speed VR or less and a foregoing vehicle speed Vt is a control released vehicle speed VR or less, or a relative speed ΔV is '0' or less.
