Abstract:
To provide a traveling control system and a traveling control method capable of avoiding deterioration of control performance caused when a vehicle is deviated from a predicted prediction route.SOLUTION: A traveling control system 10 includes a current position acquisition device 11, a traveling operation detection device 12 and a control device 13. The control device 13 includes a prediction section 16, a control section 17 and a determination section 18. When the control section 17 performs prediction control based on a prediction control target value Bm calculated from a prediction route Lm predicted by the prediction section 16, if the determination section 18 determines that there is a possibility that the vehicle might be deviated from the prediction route Lm, the control section 17 performs control to stop the prediction control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
