Abstract:

To provide a traveling device and method enabling an occupant to more properly recognize moving speed.

This traveling device 10 travels, while boarding the occupant. The traveling device 10 includes a moving speed detection means for detecting the moving speed V, a period calculation means 12 for calculating a period T according to the moving speed V detected by the moving speed detection means, and a moving speed transmission means for transmitting the moving speed V to the occupant by performing an operation based on the period T calculated by the period calculation means 12. It is desirable that the period calculation means 12 calculates the period T according to the moving speed V based on the moving speed V detected by the moving speed detection means and a period map set in advance according to a walking period.
