PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce speed change shock generated in shifting from an R-range to a D-range as forward driving speed, and improve durability of an automatic transmission.
SOLUTION: This traveling forward speed change control method in traveling rearward of an automatic transmission for includes a process of detecting a shift lever position in a vehicle, a process of detecting an engine rotation number of the vehicle, a process of detecting a throttle valve opening in the vehicle, a process of detecting car speed of the vehicle, and a process of conducting a first gear speed speed change control for the throttle valve opening and the car speed respectively less than preset reference values when engine rotation is detected to be idling in the condition where the shift lever is shifted from the R-range to the D-range.
