Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling frame device with a simple and inexpensive twist added thereto for easy mud removal without allowing the mud to directly adhere to a traveling frame member and to provide a mud cleaning method using the traveling frame device.SOLUTION: A traveling frame device 19 comprises: traveling frame members 19b and 19t; and mud shielding sheets 21 and 22 which are made of a deformable material and detachably mounted on surfaces of the traveling frame members 19b and 19t. In a mud cleaning method using the traveling frame device, the mud shielding sheets 21 and 22 made of the deformable material are detachably mounted on the surfaces of the traveling frame members 19b and 19t, the mud shielding sheets 21 and 22 are removed from the traveling frame members 19b and 19t when mud is accumulated and adheres to the mud shielding sheets 21 and 22, and the accumulated mud adhering to the mud shielding sheets 21 and 22 is separated therefrom by deforming the mud shielding sheets 21 and 22.
