Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling robot for fire-fighting purposes which is adapted to travel with rubber tires, the received impact acceleration of which is low and which enable high-speed traveling to the vicinity of a fire spot and travel with iron wheels in a place from that spot to the fire spot where the rail temperature rises.
SOLUTION: In a traveling unit 11A (also 11B) of a traveling robot 10 for fire-fighting purposes, an axle of a filtering rubber tire 13 having a large diameter journalled to the upper surface of a roof board 35 of a main body 31 and an axle of an iron wheel 23a having a small diameter journalled side by side with the filling rubber tire 13a in the advancing direction on the upper surface of the roof board 35 are positioned horizontal. A chain 29a is wrapped round between the axle and the axle and rotated. When the filling rubber tire 13a wears away, traveling with the iron wheel 23a is started.
