To provide a traveling toy which can maintain a contact state of an energization detection electrode with a traveling face, and can continue traveling along a trajectory even if the traveling toy is made to travel so as to straddle a protrusion on a traveling face which is formed of a sheet material having flexibility.SOLUTION: A traveling toy T comprises an energization detection part 20 for detecting a trajectory which is drawn on a traveling face, and pair of left and right drive wheels 7 arranged in positions apart from the energization detection part of a toy main body to a rear side. The energization detection part comprises at least three electrodes 22 which contact with the traveling face while protruding from a lower face side of the toy main body so as to appear and disappear. An inclination suppression salient part 35 for suppressing an inclination of the toy main body to a rear side while landing on the traveling face when the toy main body is inclined backward with a pair of the drive wheels as a pivot is arranged in the vicinity of a rear end of the toy main body. In a state that the inclination suppression salient part is inclined to the rear side of the toy main body which is landed on the traveling face, protrusion lengths of the three electrodes from the lower face side of the toy main body are decided so that tips 22d of the three electrodes contact with the traveling face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
