Abstract:
To improve the space efficiency and transportability of traveling vehicles for space exploration by reducing their space while they are rocketed.
Suspension arms 16 supporting four wheels 4 can be practically jackknifed. In a vehicle rocketing operation, the suspension arms 16 are jackknifed, and the wheels 4 are oriented along the external surface of a cylindrical vehicle body 2 by virtue of the degree of freedom of steering units 18, so that the vehicle presents an accordingly compact planar shape than when expanded.
