To solve a problem that ribbon windings for the continuous number of turns are generated in a situation where a winding number is reached at or nearly a hazardous winding number in a normal turn continuation region when yarn is wound by using a corrected stroke cycle that alternately arranges a region where a number of traverse turns (normal turns) in which a traverse guide is reversed at the end part of a package are performed continuously and a region where a number of traverse turns (corrected turns) in which the guide is reversed at a corrected position different from the end part of the package are performed continuously.

The difference in a traverse width (correction amount) between the corrected position and the package end, and the proportion of the traverse turn at the corrected position in one cycle are set in advance. Yarn winding operation is performed by a traverse method in which the continuous number of normal turns is set not greater than a prescribed allowable value.
