Abstract:
To remove the winding of threads at the edge of a traverse owing to the reversed rotation of a belt traversing device interlocked with the reversed rotation of a drum during notching.
A clutch device is provided between a transmission mechanism 10 and a traverse mechanism. The clutch device is cut off to shut out power to the traverse mechanism when a drum rotates in reverse during notching. The clutch device is composed of an output gear 15 to bury a ball 15a and a ball clutch consisting of a clutch plate 14 with the same number of clutch holes 14b to which the ball is fitted. The transmission mechanism and the traverse mechanism can be connected only when they are in the prescribed phase.
