Abstract:
To provide a tread brake device which can secure the following performance of brake shoes with respect to wheels which move accompanied by the steering of a wheel shaft, and can properly brake the wheels.SOLUTION: A tread brake device (3) comprises left and right brake shoes (31) and left and right brake cylinders (32). Each of the brake cylinders (32) has first and second cylinders (321, 322). The first cylinder (321) includes a first fluid chamber (321c). The first cylinder (321) is constituted so as to make the brake shoes (31) approximate treads of the wheels (12) by a rise of the pressure of the first fluid chamber (321c). The second cylinder (322) includes a second fluid chamber (322c). The second cylinder (322) is constituted so that, when the brake shoes (31) contact with the treads, forces from the brake shoes (31) are applied on the second fluid chambers (322c). The second fluid chambers (322c) of the left and right brake cylinders (32) communicate with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
