Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition securing a low fuel cost and a good braking property on wet roads and simultaneously excellent in abrasion resistance.
SOLUTION: This tread rubber composition contains (A) styrene-butadiene copolymer having a styrene content of 25-45wt.%, containing 15-25wt.% of vinyl structures in the whole butadiene chains, coupled in a coupling efficiency of at least 40%, and having a glass transition point (Tg) in a region of -60°C to -40°C and a styrene single chain content of 40-65%, and (B) carbon black having CTAB of 50-70, 24M4DBP≥95, and [DBP-24M4DBP]≥25. The tread rubber composition comprises 80-100 pts.wt. of the component A, 0-20 pts.wt. of natural rubber or one or more other dienic rubbers, and the carbon black in an amount of 40-85 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of the raw material rubbers.
