PURPOSE: To provide a handloom suitable for limb training device for a physically handicapped person by semiautomating the lifting and lowering of a treadle.

CONSTITUTION: This treadle device of a handloom is constituted of rotors 11 for rolling in cords, treadles 12 and motor-driven devices. Each treadle 12 is equipped with a movable unit 14 movable in the longitudinal direction, an elastic body 15 for elastically deforming the movable unit 14 in the longitudinal direction of the treadle and urging the movable unit, the cord 16 for pulling the movable unit 14 in the direction opposite to the elastic recovering force of the elastic body 15, a guide 17 for leading out the cord 16 in the direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the treadle, a stopper 19 having a recessed part fitting with the cord 16 and a foot switch 20. The elastic body 15 and one end of the cord 16 are connected to the movable unit 14 and the other end of the cord 16 is led through the guide 17 to the lower side of the treadle and connected to the rotor 11. The stopper 19 is attached to a position of the treadle 12 where the recessed part rises, sinks, fits toward the cord 16 and engages therewith and the motor is rotated by an indication signal from the foot switch 20 of the treadle 12. Thereby, the rotor 11 is rotated and driven.
