PURPOSE: To improve the liquid preservation property, whiteness, desilverizing property and stain resistance of a silver halide color photographic material with a developer replenished in a small amount by treating the silver halide color photographic material using a specific bleaching fixer after color development.
CONSTITUTION: To treat a silver halide color photographic material having at least one silver halide photosensitive layer on a reflecting support comprising a support base covered with water resistant resin layers with the silver halide being composed of more than 90mol/% of silver chloride, the silver halide color photographic material, in which that water resistant resin layer to which the silver halide photosensitive layer is applied contains titanium oxide by more than 13wt.%, is subjected to color development and is then treated with a bleaching fixer which contains the ferric salt of a compound expressed by the formula. In the formula, A1-A5 represent -COOM1 or -PO3M2M3. M1-M3 represent hydrogen atom, an alkal metal or anmonium ions and (n) represents 1 or 2. Preferably, the amount by which the bleaching fixer is replenished is 150ml/m2 and the amount by which silver is applied to the silver halide photosensitive material is equal to or less than 0.76g/m2.
