Abstract:
To provide a method for treating heavy metal-polluted soil, capable of efficiently eluting heavy metals to remove them and reducing adverse effects on the environment.
A treatment agent for removing heavy metals in heavy metal polluted soil or waste contains at least one component selected from the group consisting of L-aspartic-N,N-diacetate, glutamic diacetate, hydroxyethyliminodiacetic acid, carboxymethyloxysuccinate, 3-hydroxy-2,2'- iminodisuccic acid, polyaspartic acid and salts of them. A solution of this heavy metal treatment agent is brought into contact with heavy metal polluted soil or waste and subsequently recovered to treat heavy metals in the solution.
