Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover mercury efficiently from cement kiln exhaust gas at low costs.SOLUTION: A treatment apparatus 1 for cement kiln exhaust gas includes an external kiln 2 which heats dust D1 recovered from cement kiln exhaust gas to vaporize mercury contained in the dust D1, a filter type solid/gas separator 4 which separates a gas G1 containing evaporated mercury discharged from the external kiln 2 into a mercury-containing gas G2 and mercury-removed dust D3 and an activated charcoal adsorption tower 7 which recovers evaporated mercury contained in the separated mercury-containing gas G2 and heats a filter 4b of the filter type solid/gas separator 4. The retainer 4c supporting the filter 4b may be an electric heater.
