Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover mercury efficiently from cement kiln exhaust gas at low costs.SOLUTION: A treatment apparatus 1 for cement kiln exhaust gas includes an external heat kiln 2 which heats dust D1 recovered from cement kiln exhaust gas to evaporate mercury contained in the dust D1, a bag filter 5 which separates mercury-containing gas G1 containing evaporated mercury discharged from the external heat kiln 2 into a mercury-containing gas G2 and mercury-removed dust D6, an activated charcoal adsorption tower 8 which recovers evaporated mercury contained in the separated mercury-containing gas G2 and a heat exchanger 4 which exchanges heat between dust D2 discharged from the external heat kiln 2 and dust D3 before charging into the external heat kiln 2, and dust D5 temperature-raised by the heat exchanger 4 is charged into the external heat kiln 2. The calorie of the dust D2 to be discharged from the external heat kiln 2 is utilized effectively to supplement the calorie necessary for evaporation of mercury contained in the dust D1, if necessary, when the gas amount A1 supplied to the external heat kiln 2 is reduced.
