Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance treatment efficiency, by adding a mixture of gypsum and fine shaft furnace granulated slag and Portland cement to an aqueous suspension containing soil particles.
CONSTITUTION: An additive consisting of gypsum and fine shaft furnace granulated slag is added to an aqueous suspension in such a ratio that gypsum is contained in sedimented soil particles in an amount of at least 0.01pts.wt. per 1pts.wt. of solid components and the whole is is allowed to stand to sediment suspended soil particles. At this time, sodium chloride is added in an amount of 0.01W4wt% as the concn. in excessive water. By this method, sedimentation separation efficiency of a soil particle precipitate is enhanced.
