Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and devices for displacing body convection and thereby reducing exposure to allergens and other airborne fine particles within a personal breathing zone during situations of or corresponding to sleep thereby reducing or removing symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis while improving quality of sleep, and to also provide business methods concerning the devices.SOLUTION: In a treatment where allergen specific IgE levels in a patient are reduced by reducing exposure to allergens at the point of care by TLA (Temperature controlled Laminar Airflow) treatment, a device provides the treatment air for use in the treatment whose temperature is 0.5-1°C cooler than the ambient air.
