Title:
TREATMENT OF COAL SLURRY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56145992
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a powdered coal storable without segregation, by mixing a powdered coal slurry with a binder and granulating the resulting mixture.

CONSTITUTION: A binder (e.g., kerosene, gas oil, fuel oil, a residual oil or a vegetable oil) is added to a powdered coal slurry of particle size ≤5mm, which is granulated after mixed and agitated. The powdered coal granule is storable in the homogeneous state without segregation when stored in water, and efficiently dehydrated because of large and uniform particle size when dried and stored in a storage bin. No bridging is caused when taken out of the storage bin because of no segregation.
