To provide a method for treating true diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes, and disease conditions accompanied by the true diabetes.

This method for treating the true diabetes and the disease conditions accompanied by the true diabetes in mammals comprises administering an effective and non-toxic insulin-sensitizing substance in a pharmaceutically acceptable amount and an insulin secretion-stimulating medicine in a less amount than the maximum amount into a mammal needing the treatment. A composition for use in the method.
