Abstract:

To provide a method for treating dust in exhaust gas, by which the dust in the exhaust gas produced at the time of melting ferrous material can be treated without adding a reducing material.

At the time of melting the ferrous material 8, the dust 7 in the exhaust gas exhausted from a melting furnace 1 is treated. The ferrous material 8 is melted under condition of shutting off the melting furnace 1 from the outer air, and also, the exhaust gas exhausted from the melting furnace 1 is introduced into a dust collector 2 to recover the dust in the exhaust gas. Successively, the dust 7 is heated under vacuum to recover moisture, chlorine, fluorine and lead, and further, the dust is heated under keeping the vacuum to recover metallic zinc in the dust 7.
