Abstract:
To provide a method for stably treating an emulsion in a short time without raising a cost and maintaining qualities of pitch coke made form product tar as a raw material.
A coke oven gas generated from a coke oven is washed with water by gas treating facilities and the washing waste liquor generated from the washing with water is settled and separated to form an emulsion in a middle layer of a settling separator T. The water content of the emulsion formed in the middle layer of the settling separator T is made into 85-90% and introduced to a centrifugal separator SP and treated.
