Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for obtaining an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer saponification product having excellent molding stability, long run moldability, or the like.
SOLUTION: This method for treating an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer saponification product comprises bringing the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer saponification product into contact with the aqueous solution of an acid and/or its salt in a reactor. Therein, a feeding port having a nozzle is disposed below the liquid surface of the reactor, and the aqueous solution of an acid and/or its salt is spouted into the reactor to flow simultaneously the saponification product.
