Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable to stably mature active sludge with high efficiency, by carrying out an active sludge process with active sludge matured by exhaust gas-desulfurizing waste water to which peptide is added.
CONSTITUTION: To waste water discharged from a wet type desulfurizing apparatus for exhaust gas formed by the combustion of coal and petroleum as fuel, about 100W1,500mg/l peptide such as polypeptide, peptone, glutathione or calcinone is added, and the waste water is aerated in an aerating cell. Said waste water contains polythionates, e.g. dithionate tetrathionic acid or higher thionates as COD components.
