To increase the treatment activity of adsorption, floccuration, deodorization or the like of allophane and to enable treatment in a stable form by fixing allophane type clay mineral on the surface of a treatment base material.
Allophane type clay mineral is fixed to the surface of a treatment base material in a final process for molding and granulating the treatment base material to obtain an adsorbing, flocculating and deodorizing treatment material. The allophane type clay mineral is mixed with an aq. bonding medium such as latex or the like or a film forming paint and, by the spray coating of the resulting mixture or the allophane clay mineral itself, a thin piece as a treatment base material containing allophane uniformly or the allophane film uniformed formed on the treatment base material is obtained. Since the allophane type clay mineral is fixed on the surface of the treatment base material as it is, the amt. of allophane carried, that is, a surface effective for adsorbing treatment or the like is markedly increased and the state during treatment can be kept stable and industrial application becomes possible at a practical use level.
