PURPOSE: To stabilize the durability of a paint film during drawing, by dipping a metal plate in an aqueous solution contg. an amine compound, applying and drying a silane-coupling agent, and then applying the paint which is cured with the radiation of electron beams.
CONSTITUTION: A metal plate is dipped in the aqueous solution of a compound having chemical action to metal under the condition of an aqueous solution, such as triethanol amine or disodium ethylene diamine tetracetate, or said aqueous solution is sprayed to the surface of the metal plate. Said surface is then washed with water and dried. In succession, a silane-coupling agent is applied and dried, and then the paint which is cured with the radiation of electron beams is applied as an overcoat and cured with the radiation of electron beams. Said silane-coupling agent may be vinyl triethoxysilane or the like, while the paint which is cured with the radiation of electron beams may be unsaturated polyester resin compounded with one or more of vinyl monomers, or the like.
