Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treating soil contaminated with heavy metals, having excellent cost performance by improvement of a recovery rate of adsorbent without increasing running cost.SOLUTION: The method for treating soil contaminated with heavy metals related to the present invention comprises: a first step of crushing soil contaminated with heavy metals; a second step of washing the soil crushed in the first step with an acidic solution; a third step of adding iron powder which adsorbs heavy metals to the soil washed with an acidic solution in the second step and mixing the added iron powder and the soil; and a fourth step of separating the iron powder from the soil to which the iron powder has been added in the third step. The fourth step comprises: a first adsorption iron powder separation step of separating iron powder, in which the iron powder is separated by one separation method or a separation method of combined two or more methods selected from magnetic separation, gravity separation, and filter separation; and a second adsorption iron powder separation step of separating iron powder, in which iron powder left in the soil slurry is separated and recovered by subjecting the soil slurry from which iron powder has been separated in the first adsorption iron powder separation step, to a magnetic separator, the pipe surface of which has a magnetic flux density of 0.6 tesla or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
