In the intermittent aeration treatment method of nitrogen-containing waste liquid wherein ammonia nitrogen-containing waste liquid is fed to an intermittent aeration tank, aeration and aeration stopping are alternately repeated to the waste liquid, with an aerobic process by aeration and an anaerobic process by aeration stopping as one cycle, the number of the cycles of the intermittent aeration treatment per day, time required for one cycle of the intermittent aeration treatment, and a feed amount of the nitrogen-containing waste liquid during the anaerobic process are decided according to the concentration of ammonia nitrogen in the intermittent aeration tank.
