To relate to a treatment method of pieces of equipment such as a large-sized transformer contaminated by polychlorinated biphenyl and its device, and provide a treatment method and device which enable a removal of polychlorinated biphenyl, an oil-soluble component, from soda lime containing mainly a water-soluble component such as calcium hydroxide, by which the polychlorinated biphenyl contamination such as the transformer containing soda lime can be treated.
This is a treatment method of treating the contamination containing soda lime and contaminated by polychlorinated biphenyl. The treatment method is characterized in that soda lime in the contamination is added in a treatment liquid comprising an oil phase of the upper side and a water phase of the underside, and the treatment is carried out by a transition of polychlorinated biphenyl contained in soda lime from the water phase side of the treatment liquid to the oil phase side.
