Abstract:
To provide a treatment method which can enhance a fatigue strength of a steel material.
This treatment method includes: a step (S1) of quenching the steel material which contains 0.15-0.70% carbon; a heat treatment step (S2) of tempering the steel material by heating the steel material at 250-300°C for two hours or longer to transform austenite in a structure into martensite; and a step (S3) of subjecting the steel material to shot peening.
