Abstract:
To provide a treatment method for steel slag which promotes the carbonation of dicalcium silicate in steel slug and can control the residue of free CaO and Ca(OH)2 unreacted during the carbonation, thereby being able to lower the pH of an eluent from slag that is generated when the steel slag is brought into contact with moisture after the carbonation treatment, as low as possible not only over the short term but also over the long term.
The treatment method for the steel slag comprises steps of incorporating an Si-containing material and water into the steel slag to knead and conducting the hydrothermal curing treatment of the obtained kneaded product, and then conducting the carbonation treatment of the obtained cured material.
