Abstract:

To provide a treatment method of waste capable of easily and economically collecting valuable lead from waste of a lead-acid battery, and imposing little load on environment.

This method is used for treating waste of a lead-acid battery containing lead and a lead compound. The treatment method of waste includes a process for collecting the lead compound included in the scrap along with lead by reducing the lead compound to lead by treating the scrap of the lead-acid battery by subcritical water with hydrogen peroxide added, and thereafter treating it by supercritical water or subcritical water with a base such as sodium hydroxide added.
