Abstract:
To provide methods for treating a polyglutamine disease including spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA), Machado-Joseph disease (MJD/SCA3), Huntington's disease (HD), dentatorubral-pallidoluysian atrophy (DRPLA) or X-linked spinal and bulbar muscular atrophy (SMAX1/SBMA).SOLUTION: There is provided a method comprising parenterally or topically administering an effective amount of stem cells as a unit dose to a patient with polyglutamine disease. The administration is performed with one or more treatment cycles, in which one treatment cycle comprises dosing three-unit dosages each at a dosing interval of two to six weeks.SELECTED DRAWING: None
