PURPOSE: To treat scraps in small size and with less contacting faces and to make its discharging easy by trimming a work of a sheet like work with relational movement of an upper die and lower die and by performing successively a bending work of scraps generated.

CONSTITUTION: A work W is held with a punch 3 fitted to a lower holder 1 of a press and a pad 5 fitted to an upper holder, and the work W is held between the 1st sectional die 13 and a pad 31 by advancing to the left the 1st sliding cam 7 by descending the 1st driving cam 15 and on the other hand by advancing to the right the 2nd sliding cam 23 by descending the 2nd driving cam 33. The above movement is further progressed and the pad 31 is retreated against a spring 29 and the work W is trimmed at a cutting edge part 14. Both sliding cams are successively advanced and scraps S generated by the above trimming are worked by bending between a pressing part 18 of the 1st sectional die 13 and the 2nd sectional die 16, and after it is deformed to a small-sized and less contacting faces shape it is fallen to a scrap chute 37 for discharge.
