A silver halide photographic sensitive material having ≤2.2 g gelatin coating amt. per 1 m2 of one surface, ≥0.9 g polymer latex coating amt. in an emulsion layer per 1 m2 of one surface and ≤130% swelling rate is subjected to development. After that, the photosensitive material is treated with a fixing liquid containing ≥0.15 mol/l succinic acid, and successively subjected to washing and drying.
