Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To weaken the fibrillation tendency of a solvent-spun cellulosic fiber.
SOLUTION: This method for giving a solvent-spun cellulosic fiber whose fibrillation tendency is weaken is characterized in that the method comprises the following steps (a) (1) a substantially colorless chemical reagent having 2-6 functional groups reacting with cellulose is applied on a predried fiber or (2) a colored chemical reagent having 2-6 functional groups reacting with cellulose is applied on a fiber and (b) the applied chemical reagent and fiber are made to react to each other under alkaline condition.
