Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leaching of heavy metals from continuous walls to the outer side by excavating the ground contaminated with the heavy metals down to a prescribed depth by an excavating machine having agitating vanes, discharging a cement slurry added with a heavy metal immobilizing agent and mixing this slurry with the original position soil by means of the agitating vanes at the time of building the continuous walls on the ground.
SOLUTION: When the continuous walls 1 are going to be built in the ground contaminated with the heavy metals, the soil survey of the contaminated soil 2 is first carried out before building of the continuous walls 1. Next, excavation is started by the excavating machine having the agitating vanes to excavate the soil down to the prescribed depth. The cement slurry added with the heavy metal immobilizing agent is discharged from the front end of the head of the agitating vanes after the excavation.
