To surely recover ground water and gas in soil comprising contaminants even if the recovery of the contaminants is difficult since the presence of a layer hard to permeate water or a layer hard to permeate gas obstructs the same.

Regarding the treatment system 1 for contaminated soil, the inside of contaminated soil 2 is provided with a pumping well 3, and the pumping well is mainly composed of a casing 4 made of a hollow cylindrical steel tube and gravel 5 as a gas-water permeable material arranged so as to surround the circumferential face and the bottom face thereof. The lower end of the casing is provided with a strainer part 7 as shown in figure (b), further, the upper position of the strainer part is provided with an adsorbent cartridge 10 capable of adsorbing the contaminants within the casing 4, and in the upper part of the adsorbent cartridge 10, a storage pump 8 and a column pipe 9 communicating with the storage pump are installed within the casing.
