To provide a method and a device for removing and recovering zinc and lead from a waste containing zinc and lead in an oxide state.
This treatment method comprises vaporizing and recovering zinc and lead converted into pure metals by mixing a reducing agent 2 with the waste containing zinc and lead in the oxide state such as a steel making dust 1, charging into a heat treating furnace 3, evacuating the furnace 3 and heating to reduce zinc and lead. The waste and the reducing agent are charged into the furnace 3 preferably after being mixed and briquetted. The recovered zinc or lead is preferably ingotted by providing an ingot case in a recovering device 5. The furnace 3 is preferably a rotary furnace and is preferably intermittently rotated.
