Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate the separation of copper and other residue while preventing the oxidation of copper when a waste printed circuit board is calcined.
CONSTITUTION: A waste printed circuit board is roughly ground by a shredder to be calcined in a steam atmosphere. Calcination temp. is 400°C or higher, pref., 500-900°C. Steam or water is blown into a heated rotary cylinder and the ground waste printed circuit board is supplied into the rotary cylinder from one end thereof while exhaust gas is burnt in the furnace heating the rotary cylinder.
