Abstract:
To provide an improvement type of an erodible antifouling paint composition which contains a film formable polymer unit without tin, while maintaining the excellence in the antifouling, self-polishable characteristics and life of an organotin-containing antifouling paint.
The triaryl silyl (meth)acryloyl unit-containing copolymer is erodible in seawater and can be used for formulating a marine antifouling paint. The copolymer invented is characterized by having a low content of triaryl silyl (meth)acryloyl unit and an erodible rate in seawater of 2-about 15 μ/month.
