Abstract:

To obtain a new triarylphosphine oxide derivative containing fluorine and phosphine oxide and capable of providing a polyimide having excellent adhesion and a low dielectric constant without deteriorating excellent characteristics of the polyimide and to provide a method for producing the derivative.

This triarylphosphine oxide derivative is represented by general formula (1) [wherein, R is a fluorine-containing alkyl group; X is selected from hydrogen, nitro and amine group] and having the fluorine-containing alkyl group. The compound can be produced through a stage of subjecting a bromobenzene having the flporine-containing alkyl group and a diphenylphosphinic acid chloride to the Grignard reaction in the presence of magnesium in an organic solvent and affording a triarylphosphine oxide compound, a stage of converting the resultant compound into a nitro compound in sulfuric acid with nitric acid and a stage of hydrogenating the obtained nitro compound in the presence of a palladium catalyst.
